Saw the strangest tip..

On TV couple night ago..When you get tar on the paint down by the wheel
wells, ya know how sometimes that stuff gets thrown back on lower part aft
the wheels,... to use creamy peanut butter ! Take a dab and rub it into the
tar and crap on the area and it suppose to take it off without ruining the
paint.Once off just take a clean rag and polish

.Anyone else see or hear this from the tube ?

Re: Saw the strangest tip..

they said to use PB because thats what most NON car people have around the house. PB is very oily, the oil is what breaks up the tar.

Re: Saw the strangest tip..

I like to use PB&J, enhances the paint color. Also, whole wheat bread works better than white to apply the product. Then I use milk to rinse it off, non-fat of course.

Re: Saw the strangest tip..

I use Turtle Wax car wash soap and it takes tar off in one pass. As for tree sap, I don't know. It sticks around for six months.
