Anyknow how to properly get that black road tar stuff off my rocker panels? its bugging me. Thanks

i use solvent it comes right off. i dont know where you can get in the stores, but we get it from our distributor

WD-40 works like magic. Just re-wax the area after.

put kerosine in a spray bottle. spray it on wait like 2 mins and do it again then wipe it off. Eats it fast. then was ur truck

Any of the above mentioned ideas will work. Probably the best and safest is PPG Wax and Grease remover. It's designed to work on paint and not eat it away, but if you don't have access to that there's tons of other options.
Once you get the majority cleaned off you could use a clay bar to get anything thats remaining that might not be extremely obvious to the eye. Once your done with that be sure to seal and wax because all of those solvents that remove the tar will be stripping all the protectants from your paint as well. Sounds like this would be a great time to do a complete detail job... |

use charcol lighter works great and its cheap jsut rewax when your done

Just use the spray on bug & tar remover. It removes it easy & actually leaves a slick waxed surface instead of removing your protectants from your paint.

i usually use my wal-mart buffer with some zymol wax and it usually gets it off
