Restored my 3rd brake light lense...

Didnt know if this should go here or in Body/Paint, but anyway...

My 3rd brake light lense was looking pretty chalky and old, so I decided to fix it :

Before

Wetsanded with 1000 grit ( notice I took out the lettering )

And after buffing and polishing...

The stuff I used...

After wetsanding I buffed it with the ScratchOut until it started to shine back up, then I gave it a couple coats of the Scratch-X until it was totally shined back up, followed by 2 final coats of the carnauba wax to protect it.

Turned out pretty good if you ask me!

Thanks GiveMe... I'm all motivated to do detailing type stuff after I used your meathod to clean my Sunfire's motor

If its plastic, it can be done.

I originally used this meathod to refinish some old domes for my police lightbar ( I have a thread on it somewhere, search for vector lightbar if you'r interested ) and I've done everything from red, blue, yellow, green, and clear plastic, so yeah, it'll work.

Like interior dome light cover? Thats opaque plastic so it wont do anything but make the surface really shiney...
