Re-Paint or Need a good buff?
My paint is real dull in certian spots and I have quite a few scratches mainly on the bed. I took a previous car to a detail shop and they looked at the paint of my s10 and told me they could buff most of the dull paint and scratches out. They said they used some chemical ( I dont know what they called it ) that melted the paint and when buffed would smooth into the scratches and brighten the dull spots.
Anyone ever heard of this? -Jp |

Re: Re-Paint or Need a good buff?
Most detailers use a polish/wax combo with fillers. So they buff out the oxidation and light marring/scratches, and the wax has the ability to fill in minor marring and scratches left. If you want to do it yourself you'll need a bufer and some skills that you maybe able to pickup by reading some detailing forums like meguiarsonline.com or autopia.org.
