prepping truck for winter
ok what should i do for this winter? im planning on getting a truck cover because i have no garage. and im going to clay bar it in the next week or so. after that would should i do.

Clay bar-polish-sealant-wax or you can skip the sealant.
If your storing it out side I would drop a few moth balls in the exhaust and under the hood to keep rodents away. Change the oil and check the coolant I like to use a fogging oil and spray down the intake and in the spark plug holes. Top off the fuel tank Remove the battery Park it on plastic put it up on blocks to save the tires then cover it. |

In that case and if you plan on keeping the truck for a few years
take care of the underbody. If you get much snow, wet or salty roads have the truck oil sprayed/undercoated. We have two cars both 91 one was oil sprayed the other was not. The one that was sprayed every few years still has a 100% rust free body, the other one is 50% shot. It makes a big difference. We just got our truck done. |

mine allready has rust on the bottom. and lately my tailgates been making this loud squeaking noise when i close it...
