Re: Post your cleaning / detailing steps

okay i detail cars at a dealership so it helps out with products and tools,

1. Pull Truck into powerwash bay and degrease engine and go over front and kickpanels with bug pad to get off excess grime.
2. Run it through car wash (with out drying it)
3. Dry Off , including door jams, gas lid, and tailgate
4. Vacuum inside
5. Take a blow gun adn blow into crevisis(sp?)
6. Take interior cleaning spray and 1" paintbrush and clean every plastic piece in the truck.
7. Re-vacuum
8. Spray paint wheel wells, frame, and exhause with high gloss blac spray paint (adds a great touch really cleans the truck up)
9. Spray wax clay the truck
10. Wipe off Spray wax completly
11. Buff Truck
12. Go back over with a paint sealant wax
13. Detail wheels and tires with tire shine
14. Steam Vacuum Carpets.
15. Let carpets dry while you enjoy a beer secretly in the bathroom

Holy crap,,, I've got a Caddy hearse, Caddy limo, 1935 Olds hearse, venture van, chryler 300 and 1938 Desoto to clean before my truck,,

So, my truck always gets cleaned last,, but I'm all practiced up before I do it!

3. rims and tires
4. outside windows
5. vaccum carpets and door pockets
6. armoral
7. inside windows

Re: Post your cleaning / detailing steps

I generally do the interior first, so that all the crap from the inside won't fly out and stick to the outside of the vehicle that you just cleaned.

Re: Post your cleaning / detailing steps

For a week-by-week washing, I:

Spray car Down
Wash
Rinse
Dry
Interior
Stoners on exterior windows

For a full detail:
Spray Car Down
Wash
Clay
Wash
Dry
Klasse AIO (Sometimes I skip this)
Ultra Coat Polish
Carnauba Creme Wax (I use P&S's products now, they've got a local store here and the products are awesome!)
Rim Sealant or Polish

Interior is usually easy. sometimes I clean the carpets, but usually it's just a quick vaccuum and Stoners
