Re: polishing centerline smoothies

Try this, put a little polish on the wheel, spread it out a little with the powerball , then sprinkle in some regular old baking flour and then run the power ball on it

Re: polishing centerline smoothies

A FINE grade compound, or some "finesse it" will work good. Also, a normal high speed buffer, with a wool pad will sometimes work better, but be sure not to burn the metal... what I mean is, if you stay focused on one area too long, then you might discolor the metal, because of all the extreme heat, which is caused by friction when polishing.

Re: polishing centerline smoothies

I have centerline edge's they were polished to a mirror finish when i got them, and for polishing i just use good ole mother's aluminimum and mag polish and a little elbow grease...... Has always done the trick, and the wheels are now 4 years old. So you should def send them back!!!!

Re: polishing centerline smoothies

Yeah, aluminum weels definately weren't made for lazy people. I use an aluminum polsih, and an air buffer with a wool pad...

... and yes, they do get dirty....

Re: polishing centerline smoothies

I highly recommend "Autosol" metal polish. You can get it in a tube or in a quart bucket. I polished a clear coated aluminum motorcycle engine with it to a mirror finish. It just took a while to get through the clear coat as it was flaking off in some areas and not in others. Turned out awesome though.
