Paint under emblems..

ok i just got a 02 blazer and i want to remove all the bagding on it and im curious of the paint under the emblems will be shinier than the rest of the truck?? or will it be bad enough to notice if i do remove the them?? thanks

nah itll be fine....I pulled them off a 2000 xtreme, as long as you clean it up good u'd never notice

It could be shinier.

All depends how bad the exposed paint has fade away. It's a 5yr old truck, but all depends how that 5yrs was spent.

I removed all the side moldings and fender trim from my truck and the paint was fine underneath. I just washed and waxed the area well. I used to park my truck outside uncovered for at least 4 years(I didn't have a garage or carport) before I removed the molding.

if its 2 stage just give it a good wetsanding and polishing, it prob needs it with all the orange peel factory has =P

i pulled the emblems and the paint must have been takin care of really well.. i coudlnt tell where the emblems weere.. but i still waxed the whole truck yesterday anyways
