Paint Removal from Leather

Hey guys i picked up my new (to me) 2006 Cobalt SS Leather Buckets. Anyways i got them cheap cause there is white paint on the seats. I have tried olive oil, armor all leather cleaner and have gotten a little bit off. Anyways i am wondering if any one on here has any ideas... i know i can use harsh things such as paint thiner and possible nail polish remover but thats going to be last resort for me. Here is a few pics of what i have. Also i scored these for $150.

If the paint is latex water based try hot water to soften the paint Then rub it with your fingernail, if it is not use a Q-tip with some isopropyl and then recondition the leather!

Re: Paint Removal from Leather

i was able to get most of it off today... i used mothers leather cleaner and i used a sponge with the a scotch pad on the other side... in 2 areas i had to rub alot so its a little noticeable. Once i have them all mounted in the truck i will recondition them.

Re: Paint Removal from Leather

I was gonna suggest warm, or HOT water, with a FINE GRADE steel wool(or a hard bristeled toothbrush) with a minimal amount of pressure... since it looks like house paint.

Re: Paint Removal from Leather

Hey man I have had a set of these in my spare room for months! How do you plan to install them since the slider is part of the seat?

Re: Paint Removal from Leather

This may help you. Pecard's is one of the oldest
leather care companies going and they'd know
what to do about that.
