Overspray on NEW TACOMA

my girlfriend went to get her car washed by this place by the house and they called us over and told me that she had overspray all over her brand new speedway blue truck. they were trying to get me to pay near $500 to remove the overspray. i did infact feel it and i know its from our shop next door who makes custom trailers but my question is how do you remove the overspray off of it. is there any different way for them to remove it or me to do it.

Re: Overspray on NEW TACOMA

the place that detailed did do a good job and it did smell good but its the shear fact that the guy pushed me to pay them 500 bucks to do it when i know i can do the same job and only pay 15 bucks for the stuff.

Wait let me get this right...you ended up paying them the $500!!! WHAT, WHY! Even if it was really bad over spray, you could easily pick up some polishing compond (say poorboys ssr1 or somthing along those lines) for $20ish and get rid of it.

Re: Overspray on NEW TACOMA

i paint cars all day long over spray isnt a big deal. just get some extra cut compund and a 3m white foam pad on a buffer arounf 1200 rpm and go to town. a clay bar does work but time is money. also i would try to get that shop to pay you to fix it and if they dont call the the city on them

You basically got it completely wrong and ended your post saying close to the same thing he did at the end of his..

He said they did a good job detailing it but the fact that the guy offered to fix the overspray for an additional $500 was outrageous to him when he knows he fix it himself for $15.
