Ok so first drive in the rain, and i got questions?

So my first drive in the rain and my windows fogged up like hell, i need to know of a way to get rid of it all, i couldnt see worth a crap and my defogger didnt work to well that and the fact that it kills my gas mileage. Oh and also it seems that the guy who owned it before me spilled something on it that i cant clean with windex.. anything else good to clean the windshield and protect them from fogging up? any help would be great didnt know exactly where to put this.

don't know about the fogging up try opening the window a tad. Clay bar does a good job cleaning the windows though.

It heats up and all but when it comes out it heads out the ac vents more than it does the front window vent..

mothers clay bar... and try cracking the windows.... but personally i'd rather kill my gas mileage then wreck my vehicle.. but the heather is not going to kill your gas mileage...

Re: Ok so first drive in the rain, and i got questions?

Ah well i totally agree with you in the id rather kill my gas mileage than wreck the ride and yeah i did turn it on and all but it still didnt come out all that great i mean it works and all but when i turned it up to 4 it still didnt give off that much air outta the vent, the front vents were the ones giving off the most air and yes i did set it right ppl... not that big of an idiot.... well ok maybe.lol

mmm ya my vents get stuck every once and a while and air just comes out of the vents that blow at your face, I play with the knobs alittle and it usually works.

After you clean the window, use some fog-x (from the makers of rain-x). A guy I worked with always fogged up his safety glasses, I gave him some to put on there, no more problems.

I know Autozone carried it at one time. My bottle is about 7 years old from when I had cars that didn't have AC. Since the defroster works in both trucks I havn't used it in years.

Re: Ok so first drive in the rain, and i got questions?

You breathe ,, you exhale C02 also, moisture with your breath,, when it's raining your moisture from your breathe doens't get absorbed by the air cause it's already wet right,,, soo sticky to your windows,, condensation,,,, turn on heater, or crack windows,, or get vent visors!

Also, windex makes a fog formula for your bathroom,, that may work!!!

yeah figure out a solution, my friend hit a parked car when his windows fogged up lol
If you say your defrost isnt working, check your vaccum lines, try some of the fog-x etc.

befrore you get into the car put on watertight clothes. get in the truck without seeping any moisture in, get a snorkel to breathe out of.
