New Turtle wax Ultra Gloss
Well, I have tried about every wax out there! I have not used Zaino, but I am not sure whether it is a wax or just a polish? Anyway, Even though I have tried several items only sold at car shows, etc.....I am giving this information for those typical guys who buy most of their products at your local auto store. I have been using Zymol & Mothers for quite a while. I kept seeing the new Turtle wax advertised & wanted to try it out. I like to check out new products to see if they hold to their claims.......& most of them dont! Well after use, they have a new customer. I am done with Mothers & Zymol. My truck is Victory Red. It looks better than any of the others were able to accomplish. What I love is it seems like there is a VERY THICK layer of glass over your truck. The other products made my truck very smooth but just didnt protect it well. This made my truck twice as icey smooth & really brought the color out. It really looks like someone dropped a layer of glass over my truck. To each their own, but for $7-8 I would highly recommend trying it. Too many people talk smack over products they havent tried. They either heard it through someone or assume that it won't/can't work. That is why I try things myself so I know the pro's/con's. I only through on the wax after a wash, I cant even imagine what it could be like if one was to polish first & then throw this on. Just wanted to share my opinion. Take care guys!!

Re: New Turtle wax Ultra Gloss
Hey man, Im a local detailer and I have about every wax/polish on the shelf. I have yet to try the new turtle wax, thanks for your testiomnial - im looking forward to picking a bottle up. I typically only use zainos on showcars and the prices are getting a bit ridiculous, however the shine holds up incredibly well. So im wondering, how long has that glassy coat seemed persistant?

Re: New Turtle wax Ultra Gloss
Well that we will have to see, but you can almost tell that it has twice the protection of anything else. You will see what I mean when you try it. Yesterday I parked way away from everyone, at the end of the parking area so I could take up a couple spaces. Anyway, I came out & the sprinkler system had gone off on my truck. It was dirty water too. Just my luck, I park way out by the only little grassy median area & get my truck nastyfied! I pulled it into the garage & used my windex bottle that only has water in it. Sprayed water on it & wiped it off with a soft cloth, section by section. It looked as if that had never happened to it. Looks bling bling. For the $$, it just cant be beat.

Re: New Turtle wax Ultra Gloss
one thing about the turtle wax ultra gloss, is that it doenst' protect your paint. whereas caranuba does

Re: New Turtle wax Ultra Gloss
How does it not protect your paint? All the carnuba waxes I have used dont seem to have near the thickness of protection, thus causing chips, etc. I will have to disagree with you on that one.

Re: New Turtle wax Ultra Gloss
hmm...ill have to peep this stuff out...i got the Meguiars Gold Class, Mothers Carnuaba, Zymol, Turtle Zip Wash/Wax (for when im in a hurry), as well as Mothers Spray detailers and Black Magic spray detailers
however...personally the best stuff ive ever used was the Eagle One Nanowax, altho the Mothers or Zymol after a good clay barring seem to look pretty nice. Everyone was hypin up the Meguiars, and i dunno if its just me, but i thought it was for shit....it rained the day after and already the wax was practically useless....the Zymol or Nano seemed to hold up the longest...ill have to check out the Turtle tho I think we should all rate the best stuff we've used in here....its a good idea |

Re: New Turtle wax Ultra Gloss
By the way, actually a statement above is wrong. Carnuba is what brings the Bling bling shine but they dont hold up long. Ultra Gloss has carnuba in it, but they developed a way that the wax has huge protection along with the shine. Waxes of old, such as old school turtle wax actually had very good protection, but when the new waxes with carnuba & whatnot came out, hey had a shine much better than had been seen in the past. The problem has been getting a nice protection along with a nice shine for me. So I just waxed a lot. I mainly used Zymol but sometimes Mothers or Mequires. Honestly, the New Ultra Gloss brought out a red color my truck has never seen before, but most of all, it is getting the ultimate shine of any top brand out, but a thick layer of protection. I have some decent pics of my truck with 1 coat of wax on it, if interested in seeing it or posting it here...email me at: csbilleisen@iquest.net

Re: New Turtle wax Ultra Gloss
The new turtle wax stuff IMO is the best I have ever seen, as long as your paint is in good condition.
But I must say, to fix damaged/oxidized paint, nothing beats New Finish |
