New truck, first wash, need supplies.
Well usually I just use some a mit and a bucket of soap and water and wash the truck and then dry with bath towels. Yes I know it is wrong. Well I got a new truck and would like to keep the paint like new. Anyone want to tell me what are all the right supplies I will need and maybe a link to get them if I can't locally. Thank you a ton.

That a good how-to? Where can I get grit-guards? Also I usually just blow the truck off with the air compressor and then wipe it down. I've heard you should use the microfiber towels and spray a quick detail spray on the surface as you dry? As there how-to dry a car is down. |

This is the greatest brush in the world. Incredibly gentle. My favorite car cleaning product on the market.

Re: New truck, first wash, need supplies.
for washing ive always used a soft mit that i can pickup at autozone, ill buy 2 at a time and use them for the whole year, throw out the oldest onces and then use the ones from the year before to clean my factory wheels on the blazer and the other old one to clean wheel wells. I use the Absorber towel for drying, best one ive ever used. I need to shell out the cash and get a Boar's hair brush, but i can wait until i repaint the truck for that. I always use Meguiars gold class wash, its the orangish/gold color soap, mix it with hot water for more foam/suds. A lot of washes out there strip your wax so be careful

2) buy meguiars gold soap and buy three sponges 3)rub the sponges on the truck and make sure you wash the sponges every time you want to apply more soap 4)wash off all the truck 5) buy a absorber towel and dry your truck' 6) the final you could spray it with detailing from any manufacture to give a wax shine it seems like my steps are all screwed up and you get my point! ![]() |

2 Soft washing mits, 1 for the car 1 for the rims and areas on the car by the rims that accumulate alot of dirt, meguiars gold class car wash, and some microfiber towels for a good wash.
