Question Nevr Dull

I bought Nevr Dull last night, and i tested it on my chrome wheels. It made scratch marks all over where i used it, this made me really upset. Has anybody else had this problem with Nevr Dull? I think i'm going to return it and get another brand.

Re: Nevr Dull

I'm in the navy and we use never dull to polish stainless steel on the ship. I would NEVER use it to polish chrome or billet wheels. That stuff is harsh.

Re: Nevr Dull

ive used it on chrome and stainless and i have never had any problems at all...... with aluminum you might not want too, because it is a little softer metal than stainless or chrome, so it could scratch it if you use too much pressure.

I barely used any pressure, i rubbed it on, and wiped it off. I read the directions and it said that it was basically for any metal. I returned it and got the mother's chrome polish and it works great. No finger prints, water repellant, and if they get dirty i just use a soft cloth to dust them off and they look brand new.

Re: Nevr Dull

sounds like too much pressure or some dirt still on the wheel. i swear by never dull and it works wonders. make sure not to have any dirt on the wheel especially on chrome and also never put the cotton down on the ground and use it on the wheel it will make scratches

Re: Nevr Dull

or there might have been dirt on the wheels, and you just scratched it while you tried to polish, make sure you clean off all debris, and dust off before you polish it.

Re: Nevr Dull

I tested it with dirt, and without dirt on the wheels. I used a microfiber cloth to wipe them off so there is no way that it could have scratched my wheels. I don't know what made the scratches, but it did. It made my wheels shine real good even though it was scratched. It kind of made it look like someone used a crayon to write on my wheels. It's just weird, sorry don't mean to put the brand down, but it didn't work right for me and i just thought people would like to know.

Re: Nevr Dull

I agree with bmxatv10..... make sure you clean the rims good when you wash the vehicle. Then when you dry the vehicle off, dry the rims off as best as you can. Then go over the rims with the neverdull to polish them up real good. Thats how I usually do it and have never had a problem.
