Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
Nano Wax and Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss seem to be the most competative waxes as of late. I'll make sure to compare the two next time I go out. Im sure one of them doesn't shine/last as long as the other. 10bucks a bottle for anything is heavy - especially for a detailer who may go through 2 bottles a day, and i don't forsee the mailin rebate offer lasting much longer. So obviously affordability is a factor for some of us. I'll let everyone know what I think about the waxes.

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
Zymol was the bomb & I used it for several years, but I would suggest the new Turtle wax Ultra Gloss. I think it is better than the Zymol I was using, & its $5 cheaper. JMO though.

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
Okay with this nanowax, I was thinking of putting on a polish and then a wax over it. If I get nanowax should I just use it and not worry about polish or should I still go for the polish?

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
Well I picked some up this morning and I think I'm going to put it on this weekend if the weather stays nice. I'm just debating whether or not to put a paste wax on top of it to make it last longer or not?

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
suprax...i would just go with nanowax because it is a wax and polish in one....or at least thats what the bottle says....mines been on 3 weeks and through 2 washes and still repels water like i put it on today.....its by far the best wax i have ever used

Here is a pic of my 99 sdime! Look at the beautiful reflection it gives off! I used Meguiar's swirl free polish #82 and then Meguiar's NXT wax. Both applied with a dual action polisher and foam pad #w8006! What do u guys think?

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
You know I went to both Autozone and Pepboys and BOTH places had tags on the shelf for NXT wax but neither place had it in stock. I know its new but that new? It said like $14.99 for the price or something! Thats crazy for a wax so I went with nanowax but if NXT is better maybe I'll give that a shot nexttime.

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
it came out in february and i ordered it off the meguiar's website! i really like it, but i still think the #26 high tech yellow wax meguiar's makes is better. it is made for professionals and i don't know if u can buy it at a store or not. i got mine at the local meguiar's store. what did u think of pic?

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
Okay heres the shots I said I'd post. Overall I'm pretty happy with nanowax but I wouldn't quite say that it blew me away. Yeah it was good but maybe my paint just isn't old enough where it would show a big improvement but it seemed to do just about what some of the other waxes did. I would recommend it to people but I wouldn't tell them thats its the best thing ever.
This is just my take on it after using it on my '03 s10. It'd be interesting to find out how it worked on older/worn out paint jobs. In this second shot, the drivers side of the hood is waxed and the passengers isn't. You can't see too much but the drivers side is a bit richer and has a little better shine. Finally just a finished shot. ![]() ![]() |

What about durability, anyone have it on long enough yet to see how well it holds up to washes.

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
i believe i applied in a circular motion....it didnt leave any swirl marks.....but i did wash and clay bar my truck before i applied the nanowax.....your choice i guess.....i dont know how clean your paint is.....if it feels a lil rough id go ahead and clay bar it first before you wax it to make sure you get all the little fine particles, bugs, industrial fall out, overspray and the sort, off of your paint before you begin waxing

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
I used Nanowax on my machine and loved how it shined. The only drawback I encountered was that I kept the bottle in my garage and the next time I went to apply it, (about 2 months later) it had started to separate. Kind of pissed me off since it hasnt really been that hot in Ohio yet. Other than that it worked great on my paint.

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
i wax in a back and forth (left to right) motion. that way if there is any kind of debris, sand particles or what not, you won't create swirls. if you have a dark color truck i would definately go back and forth and not circles.

Re: Nano Wax Is Awsome!
It doesn't matter which method you choose. As long as there is adequate even coverage, you will be fine. Remember to cover at least 50% of what you just waxed to ensure that you do not miss anything. Swirls are caused from debris beong left on your truck, but you can also leave marks from going back and forth. Just ensure that your truck is CLEAN before you wax.
