Re: My first show n shine

clean all the extra cracks and crannies that you normally DONT clean
the cleaner the better.

clean everywhere, (tailgate jambs) (wheel wells) (gas tank door) ( hood jams) (motor) (etc) even if you say "eehh im not going to open that so it can stay dirty".......somebody may open "there" or ask you to.

maybe even take off your wheels prior to the show to clean all the insides of your wheels.

oh and good luck!!

Which radio did you win? I'm a big fan of Sirius. I would think about keeping the radio, but $13 bucks a month is more than some are willing to spend on a subscription each month, so I would understand if you felt the need to give me an excellent deal on it.

Is it a pioneer in your deck? If your deck is Sirius-ready already (I'm assuming it's aftermarket since all late model GM w/ satellite have XM) then all you need the adapter dealie for the antennae. I think most of them are pretty easy to install. I just have the Xact XTR3 reciever, and just have it set w/ the FM modulator, so I don't really have any experience w/ the direct-to-deck receivers.

P.S. That was an excellent fight, S10 User. You are a brave and valiant warrior.

Even though you have FM & CD & maybe MP3, you'll listen to Sirius radio 90% of the time. It's worth every penny of the fee, I've had Sirius in my truck for 6 months now and I've listened to FM for maybe 20 minuits-totat!, CD's, & MP'3 more. XM radio is good, but I think Sirius blows XM out of the water. I have a Pioneer DEH-P3700 with a direct connection to my Sirius Starmate-R radio.
How about posting some pictures of your truck?

Re: My first show n shine

The only stations with commercials are the talk stations, b/c most of them are live, whereas a large portion of the "D.J." content of the music channels is prerecorded, but you'll never sit through a 15-18 minute block of commercials like you have to on "terrestrial radio". Sirius has some badass metal and hard rock stations, and the 80's rock station "Hair Nation" brings me back to high school! Plus the techno/dance stations are great for a party. They have mixes that go on for like three hours sometime.
Go Sirius! Howard Stern For President in '08!
