Mother's powerball ?

I got a powerball this weekend and I'm gonna do a comparison of a wheel polished by hand and one with the powerball. I'm curious to know which speed do you guys set your drill at when using it?

Re: Mother's powerball ?

i used a plug in drill because i was afraid of my battery going dead on my other one. so i went slow at first then full blast with enough pressure to get the blackness off the wheels. you saw my thread didn't you? yea my wheels were dirty as hell

Yep, I saw your thread. I want to see if this thing will do a better job than by hand.

Re: Mother's powerball ?

I think it works very well on billet and is worth the money. I would invest in a corded drill, because it runs down the battery pretty quick. I will post pics later tonight.

Re: Mother's powerball ?

You can't tell the difference in the pics I took so I'm not going to post them. But you can tell the difference in person, if gives the wheel alot deeper shine. The only thing I'm not happy with is that it dosen't get in where the center meets the barrel of the rim, that part still has to be done by hand. I would recomend this product because you get a better shine then by hand, it cuts down the time dramaticly, and dosen't take as much elbow grease.

Re: Mother's powerball ?

it works very well. i polished my boyds pretty quickly as opposed to polishing one wheel in like 2 hours. my good old Dewalt and 2 batteries knocked it out real good

Re: Mother's powerball ?

I don't like the power ball, I think it was a big waste of money....on my wheels atleast....My Eagle 212's have too many tight areas to get in to.

I can do a much better job by hand( polishing my wheels that is ).......its alot more work, but the out come is much brighter....

Re: Mother's powerball ?

I <3 my Powerball on ym Intense 5's... Amazing.

What Ive found to work great on the back of the wheels is the American Racing billet polisher that comes in a tin can. Ill have to post a pic. Saves on my Powerball and saves Mothers billet polish too.

I've noticed this also on mine. Works great on billet steering wheels though!

Re: Mother's powerball ?

nah. its just what i have access to. works REAL well though, just goes through alot of polish. plus having that extra handle off of the side really helps with keeping the drill steady.

I use Blue Magic Mag Polish. It's pretty cheap and will pull out a nice shine. You can get just
about anywhere. Works good. >

I was first using the Mothers Billit polish in that small can
im using this stuff now...

the day i got the wheels, before i even applied anything to them

here is one when i first used the Metal Mania by hand, notice the difference from the Mothers..

heres a few after they were done with the Powerball

i use a 15 year old Craftsman drill (corded one) works just fine, gotta control the trigger since it doesnt have speed settings.

stop wasting bandwidth with your useless posts
but youre so ignorant
he said, “god like”
it wasnt in any reference to anything even remotely religiously affiliated
its not like he said (the Christian) God came down and polished his wheels or anything

but has anyone every tried the power ball on a stock wheel to see how nice one would clean up?
