Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
I bought this tonight to polish my toolbox and it broke. It says right on the package great for diamond plate. Did okay for about half the box, then the shaft snaped. Thinking of returning it, it cost $20 for JUNK.

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
Probably should've used the regular one instead of the mini.

The mini should hold up alot better than half a toolbox. |

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
it may have been faulty...but the mini is for small hard to reach places..not for the a whole tool box...should have gotten the larger unit...

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
i have a mini and it works great for the rims on my car and the wifes. but i would have gotten a bigger one for the top of a toolbox. i think you got a faulty one.

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
do they work good on rims then? I'd like to get one since it's a real pain cleaning the rims on my moms venture, and some of the brake dust is really caked on.

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
I won a regular one at a carshow, but can't find a use for it as it's so big. Where does everyone use theirs?
I bought a mini and use it on my rims, great product! I use the powermetal polish, seems to work good. Is this what everyone uses? |

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
I have the regular powerball, and it works great. I traded my Xtreme wheels for some nice polished aluminum Centerlines, and it cleaned them right up. The trick is to let the ball do the work. You don't have to push very hard at all. I may need to pick up the mini one, though. The regular one isn't small enough to work really well for rims.

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
im on my second mini.... my first one lasted all last summer and most of this summer before it died. i love it, makes things so much easier. i do with it wasnt made of foam tho, some tougher material would be nice.

I use the custom ones they sell at the hot rod swapmeets. Much better and much, much cheaper. ![]() ![]() |

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
The big thing with the powerball is using enough polish. If you try to run it even remotely dry it tears the foam up quick and doesn't polish worth a squat.

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
I have a powerball mini, I only use it on the back sides of my rims, since my wheels are Intros, they have the satiny, media blasted spokes, I'm kinda forced to polish the fronts by hand

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
Yes, the Flitz brand of polish balls work the same, and are felt material, so they don't fray and fly apart as easy.
I've used both Mother's and Flitz, either one is good, Flitz is a little cheaper, and if you look around, you can get the Flitz ones with a tube of polish. |

Re: Mothers Power Ball Mini Is Junk
Never had a problem with my PowerBall, mini or regular for that matter.
Here is a new one out Wool, 3 inch and 5 inch. Made by lake country. I have yet to try them, but all the reviews I have read are positive. |
