mothers power ball
hey i have the mothers power ball and i was wondering do you rub the polish on the wheel with a cloth and the buff it off with the ball, or do you put it on with the ball and then polish it off with the ball, and also what kind of drill do you used with it, electric, battery powered or an air drill?? thanks for the help......Matt

Re: mothers power ball
i wouldn't use a battery powered  it would die. Use an electric one. Bring that shit over here tuesday and i'll show you how to use it if it isn't raining.

Re: mothers power ball
I believe the idea is to put the polish on the wheel first then fire up the drill. I wouldn't put too much polish on though as it will splatter all over. Actually it might do that anyway! LOL
I think the best drill would be one that has higher RPM's. That would probably rule out most air drills and the majority of most cordless drills unless you got a +18V badass... Take some pictures or give us some feedback, I'm curious how well those work. I have a feeling it will be great on the larger areas but will have a hard time getting into tighter areas. Don't forget to apply a good wheel sealant when your done to help maintain the shine ! |

Re: mothers power ball
I use a battery powered drill, works fine.
As for the battery dying on you, it depends what type you have. If you got a good drill, then you got 2 batterys to switch out. |

Re: mothers power ball
I have a 14.4 Dewalt and a 14.4 B&D drill with a bunch of batteries, so no problrm on the dying out
![]() The electric drills (at least that I own), do go a bit faster. As Dallas said. splattering could possibly be a problem. I have used similar products, only smaller, for wheels. I just apply to the "pad" or ball", then start off slow and speed up as it works in. I have not had a chance to try the "power ball" as I have a line of items to be tested and am falling behind, (we are constantly testing products and sharing information with several other manufacturers that also test and review products..., there are new products that hit the market everyday and we try to stay on top of "the action" ![]() |
