Mothers chrome polish

Ne one ever use this. I used it with out the actual power ball ( gonna buy the powerball soon). But this stuff worked great on my 304's. After using the NASCAR Foaming wheel/tire cleaner and then took some mother chrome polish to them and they look brand new out of the box. Its supposed malso shine up chrome bumpers, wheels, trim, and any chrome accessorie. Its safe for black chrome and show chrome plating. I dosent streak or sctarth or smear. It also helps keep brake dust off your rims. I like the way it works, and its the first time ive bought it, but i think im going to buy it from now on to shine up my chrome.

Mother's is good. Works really well. I was looking at the wheels on a guy's
27 T truck. God, they were bling-bling. I asked him what he used to pull a
shine like that on his custom AR 405'S. He told me about this polish.

Magic Mix Polish

Quote:
The key to using Magic Mix® Metal Polish is letting it dry. If you
let most other polishes on the market dry, they become very difficult to
remove. Not Magic Mix! With Magic Mix, you simply rub it on, let it dry,
and when it becomes powder-like,dust it off.
The shine on those wheels he had, was hard to look at. Sun hit em
and ..

That'd be a waste of money.

The Powerball is really for polishable materials like billet rims, where you really have to polish out the shine. The powerball will make no difference on chrome rims.

I use the Mother Chrome polish on my chrome rims all the time, there's no need for the Powerball with chrome. I got polished rims on my Blazer, those need Powerball assistance to get shiny, chrome just shines with no effort.

Re: Mothers chrome polish

I'd say be careful with powerball on chrome. I could see little grit bits gettin stuck in it and scratching the hell outta your rims. (never used it myself, this is an educated guess. If I'm wrong, correct me) I'll hafta remember this stuff when I get my chrome on.

Re: Mothers chrome polish

Not really. Your finger and a cloth can get into corners better.

Bur chrome does not need the repetitive rubbing the polished materials do.

Re: Mothers chrome polish

I've read where some have used a rubber glove live a surgical glove to
get into places to shine. I guess the glove works well in polishing. I
think there was a how-to here on pulling a shine out of a wheel.
I think it was alum, but I don't see why a rubber or latex glove wouldn't
work on chrome wheels for the final polish.
