Unhappy microfiber?

I am trying to remove red mud stains from my 03 Charcoal Microfiber seats.
Must have been wet when they wrecked it. I have gotten alot out just by scrubbing with a washcloth and Blue Coral. But the "spots" are still there. They have been there for about a year. Will steam help? Any other ideas??

Re: microfiber?

Yeah man, anything to heat them up will help. I use an extractor on all interiors I do.

Re: microfiber?

good cleaning starts at 175 degrees F great cleaning starts at 200. Just below boiling will do wonders on cleaning anything...otherwise try to find a carpet cleaning guy who will talk to you and maybe give you some tips and maybe even some chemicals especially for what you need.

Re: microfiber?

stop by your local dealership and go back to the detail department and ask if they use an extractor. If they do ask them for about a cup full of it. Put a 1/4 of it in the bottle with REALLY hot water. spray on stain scrub from outside in and then vac it up.

Re: microfiber?

If it's a red stain, a iron that you iron clothes with will work as well with a damp cloth under it... The heat/steam pulls the stain up and into the damp towel.

And for an extractor, this is the one I use....

Re: microfiber?

Extractors are nice and have strong suction. Only thing is if you are not doing detailing as a profession then there is no point in spending all the money for an extractor. If your rich then go ahead and buy one, it will make your life easier.
