Michelin Brake Dust Repellent

I bought this stuff for about 7.00 a can. So far I am really pleased, I have new 20 inch chrome wheels. They are real bad about brake dust. This has helped alot! I will be changing my pads in 2 or three months but this will deffanatly help out. I just wanted to say that i like it. Has anyone else used it?

I have used it 2 times in about 3-4 days. It is a foam type spray. All you do is spray it on, wait 15 seconds, then wipe off. It doesnt say on the can whats in it but it SAYS safe for all wheels. I am thinking some sort of Teflon.

Personally i dont like it. It dosent work well on my 304's. Im wanting to buy some brake covers, they help out alot, by keeping brake dust off your rims. Im sure they will still get dirty but definately not as much.

Re: Michelin Brake Dust Repellent

thats one reason i love having black wheels, you cant see the brake dust, unless its really bad and all over the mirrored lip, i'll definately look for that stuff, and maybe try it on my mom's car before i use it on my truck

Re: Michelin Brake Dust Repellent

Brake dust pisses me off more than anything, especially since I drive a pretty good distance everyday. 3 days ater washing my truck, the brake dust is already noticeable.

I'll definately have to try it if I ever see it around.

when you change your brakes go with ceramic brake pads they put off less dust than regular pads, just my .02 but they did make a difference on my x stockers

Re: Michelin Brake Dust Repellent

I have some works pretty good. Doesn't keep the dust off for weeks but does make it alot easier to wash off when you wash them the next time!!
