I've got some NXT paste wax out in the garage. I mainly use it as a topper when a vehicle needs a quick coat of wax. Pretty good stuff

Re: Meguiar's Nxt generation products...
I've been using it for about 6 months and I can vouch that it lasts at least 2-3 months. It may not shine as good after 2 weeks as waxes are no less prone to deterioration as the paint is but the protection is still there. What I like the best about it is how easy it is to use. You can do the entire car, let the stuff dry on and then it comes off easy, low dust and it dries clear so it's not as noticible in crevices and such. Their proffesional equivalent is #21 and that's supposed to last even longer. I have some in my garage but haven't had a chance to try it yet. You can get their pro products at auto paint supply stores.
Also, different waxes have different properties. NXT tech wax is a good blend of color enhancment, depth, swirl filling capabilites, gloss that's very easy to use. If you just want a high gloss look and don't care about the rest, the long time favorite of many is the obsolete Meg's #16. It's a true pain to put on/take off but will outlast the NXT in the gloss department. It's so good the government made them stop making itt but you see cans up on ebay once in a while. |
