Re: Meguiars Gold Class Wax Question

Here is the low-down.

1.) Wash your truck really good
2.) Dry it off
3.) Optional - Buy a clay bar and use that over the entire truck, it will get rid of any crap thats on the paint
4.) Polish - I like Meguiars Polish.
5.) Swirl Remover (like scratch X or meguiars swirl remover)
6.) Wax - I like Meguiars Gold Class Wax, like you bought.

A lot of people love Zaino, so its something to concider, but since you already bought your meguiars give it a go.

When waxing (or polishing/swirl remover), put some wax on your applicator pad and apply gently, you don't have to push like you are trying to take off the paint haha. As for if you should use use a circular or straight motion, it should say on the product. Some people say to do it circular and some say go in a straight motion. Personally I do a straight front to back (the way the air flows over the truck). Work the wax till you have a slight haze. ONce its hazed, then use your terry cloth to buff out (remove) the wax. Easy as that.

Make sure your paint is cool and you are doing it in the shade.

Here is a nice read for you:

Hope this helps.
