Maximizing Trade In Value
I'm thinking about trading off my 02 S10. What stuff can I do besides the normal wash/wax/interior clean should I do to get the most money out of it?

claybar, detail the motor, paint the undercarriage, wash the backside of the tires/wheels, scrub the bedliner(if you have one), spray the fenderwells back black, and pray it helps a little.

everything that you and Jason said is the best you can do. Just try to make it look brand new again. |

Yep, either do it yourself or spend $200 bucks and have it detailed out. A professionaly detailed truck usually brings you another $500 at trade in time.

Re: Maximizing Trade In Value
Really detailing doesn't do much for trade in value. It's more about the condition of the body and how well it perfroms/rides. Most cars will go out to detail anyway, dealers just don't want to sink a lot into the car to make it safe and ready for the road. A rattle or noice is a lot worse than a stain in the carpet or the tires being clean.

nuthin much to do but sitthere and take it like a man when the dealier tells you your truck is worth 1500 bux then put it on their lot for 8000.
