masking tape
i left masking tape on for a couple weeks and forgot to take it off, and it seems to be permanently stuck on my window. when i try to peel it off there is tihck white residue left. Does anybody know how I can get this off?

Those ways will work but the best way to get crap off of windows is cheap alcohol, hands down. It is less than a dollar a bottle. It will take any crap off the window & it cleans it too, so you dont have to go back over it with anything. I usually scrape the main stuff off with a razor blade, then hit it with alcohol. I agree, alcohol is great for windows as it doesn't leave an oily residue behind like goobgone. I would also use alcohol on wheels for stubborn tar spots, never leave any of these products on your vehicle however, make sure you clean the area with soap and water afterwards. You may need to repolish/rewax an area where masking tape has sat for a while. I would honestly do it regardless if your paint is worth it.
