Looking for a good spray wax.
I just want to know what you guys use inbetween waxes. I just started doing mobile detailing, and I am using the new Turtle Wax spray on customers cars inbetween their waxes. The only problem is that it is really hard to buff out, and takes just s long as a true wax job. This is the first product I have tried and just want some advice on what to get next time. All I want is a quick spray on and wipe off shine.

Re: Looking for a good spray wax.
i like that "wax as you dry"... i think eagle one makes it, i'd have to go look but its good to put on with a damp chamois or damp towel

Re: Looking for a good spray wax.
There's lots of products out there and your probably just going to have to try them. Personally I'd recommend Poorboys Quick Detailer Plus. It's a spray wax with carnuba and UV protection. Obviously this stuff probably won't last as long as a full detail with polish/wax etc. but if your just doing a middle of the road job and want some good shine when the customer sees it, then this might be a good bet.
Poorboys isn't sold in stores (that I know of) but you can find their stuff online... Last edited by 02-X : 02-09-2005 at 08:22 PM. |

Re: Looking for a good spray wax.
Ive used that & its pretty good in between waxes. With todays technology, I dont want to have to call, order, & wait on products. Most off the shelf products are more than good enough if your not a concourse automobile. I have used many products from dealerships that my buddy worked at & though they do have some neat stuff, there is nothing I cant get looking just like theirs if not better with products I can buy at the store. Whenever there is something that works better than anything I have used from a store, that I buy at an auto show, within a 6mths-year there is something comporable on the shelf, so now I just wait. JMO.

Re: Looking for a good spray wax.
A benefit you might no have considered is you can buy some products like detail sprays in bulk and save yourself some money. Especially if you are using it for business use and can get stuff at dealer cost instead of off the shelf price.
A highly rated detail spray can be found at www.adamspolishes.com You'll notice he has various sizes from a 4oz sampler right up to 5 gallons. Over the long haul this could save you some serious cash! |

Re: Looking for a good spray wax.
haven't quite developed a demand for bulk products. I do stock up on Mr. Clean filters and soap though. I really like the Quik Detail mist it shines real good, and comes off very easy. Also for those needing a metal polish, i have tried a few things, and i like Eagle One's wadding polish. comes in a silver can, just pull out some cloth and wipe it down, easy quick, and works great.

Re: Looking for a good spray wax.
Update on the spray wax...The meguiars worked good, but I just found a new product that works GREAT! It is "SIMONIZ Professional One Sep Polish" comes in a big purple bottle at pepboys. It goes on and comes off VERY easy, and gives a quick shine. I recommend it.
