Leaving "hair" on chrome rims when drying off

After I wash my truck off, and clean my rims, I go to dry them off, and in a hurry(waterspots form quickly)

After it drys it looks all nice and smooth and shiny, but then I see little hairs or something. I'm guessing it's because I use a cotton rag to dry them off. What can I use to give it a show room chrome look?

I don't dry my wheels... I'll dry my truck fairly well if i leave a couple spots no biggy... then i jump in, take it on the highway and hit the speed limiter... turn around park it... rims are clean as a whistle, no spots. lol

Re: Leaving "hair" on chrome rims when drying off

I'm a new member and I am a NNUT when it comes to cleaning my chrome. And if I know anything about cleaning my rims, there are four steps I take.

1. WASH WITH HAND SOAP! and 100% cotten hand cloth.
2. Rinse with hose, spray, Whatever, get th soap off.
3. Get a dry 100% wash cloth or even more convienent....TOWEL.
4. Once finished, the rims should be || <---That close from being dry. But just wet enough to buff or polish the water marks off. I suggest either using NEWSPAPER or papertowel.

As son as your finished, take a GOOOOOD look, itslike lookin in a mirror.
