just cleaned her

well i cleaned my truck today and claybarred it for the first time...the claybar worked awesome until i got to my driver side door, anything and everything on that door that was on after the wash was determined to stay on, and it still is....i spent half an hour on the lower door panel alone and still made no progress...any ideas why its like that? its gonna get a full detail when i get some more qd and my buffer but till then this is how she shined up

the cheap camere doesn't allow you to see the shine that well, but atleast you can't see the spiderwebbing either...any recomendations on how to get rid of the web?

Re: just cleaned her

i know your talking about paint, but there is a detailing section just for this.

as far as the door, why it didnt come off is odd, it could have been cleared over and what you feel is under the clear. without seeing it i cant say.

as for the spider webbing,

either optimum polish with a buffer, or autoglym "super resin polish" by hand.........

also for a cleaner look, peel off those rock chip guard stickers behind the wheels that have been retainging mosture over the years and now have mildew under them.

well surprisingly it is VERY easy to work with by hand, doesnt powder up, isnt hard to come off, you will fall in love with it.

and best of all IMO it works best on white vehicles....

the product is made in ENGLAND and theres ONLY ONE distibuter in the USA that gets it from them direct , and you are kinda near them.... they are in nashville.

Re: just cleaned her

well it depends, it could rip a whole section of clear off, or it might do nothing....

test it by playing with it with your finger nail and see if its loose, if it is be gentle in that area. if its not loose, then you can be a lil more rough there.......

Re: just cleaned her

its really loose...like if you touch it with your fingernail you could just peel the hole layer off after awhile....i didn't know if the chemicals in the polish would kinda melt that down or strip the whole layer off
