Is Goo- Gone safe for billet wheels?
Is it? I got this tar stuff on my rims a long time ago and I haven't been able to get it off. Any other Ideas if this can't be done?

GooGone will dissolve the tar on your wheels without damaging the clearcoat.

Re: Is Goo- Gone safe for billet wheels?
Goo gone is fine on your wheels. Just make sure you wax them after because along with pulling the tar off it will also pull any waxes, sealants or other surface protectants. You might also want to try using a clay bar instead. Problem with a clay bar is it can be hard to get into tight spots found on rims.
Alternatively you could also try some 303 cleaner. Many people swear by this stuff! http://www.303products.com/main.php?...rospacecleaner Last edited by 02-X : 12-16-2004 at 09:18 PM. |

Re: Is Goo- Gone safe for billet wheels?
how about some bug and tar remover spray?
billet's nice cause there isn't many chemicals that will ruin the finish. polishing sucks, but it will bring it all back to good. |
