installing a new grille emblem

i just bought a new red and black "SS" grille bowtie. Do I have to take the factory gold one off to put the new one on, or does it just stick over it or what?

take the grill off, behind the grill you'll see the 2 things thta hold it on, remove them, emblem comes out put the new one in and put the 2 things that came with the emblem on. it should be held in place. make sure its not loose or anything.

Re: installing a new grille emblem

Ok I know you're trying here but come on guy, take the new bow tie out of the box, look at it carefully, do you see the pegs on the back, does the box have a couple of nuts in there. Now does it look like that is something you just pry off and stick on? LOL, just messin with ya!

Be carful when you pull the grill off too, I lay an old sheet down between the bottom of the grill and the top of the bumper so when it pops off it doesn't scratch the hell out of the bumper, good luck!
