ice?

anyone use the ice line of wax, wash and etc.,

i tried the wax, expensive but well worth it. just a very small amount and bam, its all shiny again! keeps the paint smooth, doesnt tarnish the plastics can use on headlights, rubber and plastic trims etc.

Re: ice?

I used it. Its pretty good but i applied way too much and it seriously took me 2 hours to buff it so that the entire car didnt look like it was coatted in oil. It looked nasty as crap but after burning out both my arms and getting it good and buffed it shined really nice. However it rained a few days ago all day long and i found where oil had come out of the seems of windows, door handles, etc but all i had to do was buff it really quick and it was good to go. I think its pretty good stuff though.

Re: ice?

I used a sample kit on my 92 camaro, and its great stuff. It really fills in all the tiny scratches and stuff you can't see. Im sold on it. I don't use it on my truck though cause it doesn't do anything for rust

I used it, its really good, I liked it, I like all of Turtle Wax's lineup of car detailers but I just use the expensive platinum wax thats like 13 or 16 dollars a bottle

Re: ice?

Question here, I was looking at the Ice products and found that there is no 'wax' per-say. There is a claybar, and polish. Now I thought that the polish is what you do before you apply wax. So is the polish the final step??

Re: ice?

i used the liquid on my truck, and i didnt like it.
it didnt work nearly as good as a white wax does.

it just left oily smears on the paint.
i rubbed the hell out of it. the oil goes away, but it didn make my paint shine.

Re: ice?

I use the turtle wax liquid clay bar and the liquid polish. the clay bar doesn't seem to be any better than any other pre wax wash you can get, and if you don't get al of it off it's ugly. But I love the ICE wax, it's like putting a layer of polished glass all over the car and it shines up the plastics, so no worry of not hitting plastic, just go right over the entire outside of the truck windows rubber and all.

Re: ice?

i used the wax and it work good as hell ... i have the spray wax too just for detailing it here and there when it needs it but even that works really good if you dont feel like doing a lot of work ... spray it on and wipe it down and it still leaves it smooth as hell

Re: ice?

i used it on my buddies car, and i wasn't that impressed. I am currently a detailer and let me tell you, the BEST wax out there is colonite 845 (i believe that's the number) I will never use another wax again. It's about 12 bucks a bottle and it lasts forever. It can even be used on power lines to help keep ice from forming. it does take a while to dry, but it is well worth it...

Re: ice?

i work for a detailing company in the summer at a gm dealership. ice is one of the brands of wax we use. its not as good for protection and for buffing out smaller scratches, but does a hell of a good job shining the car up. make sure not to apply to much or like someone stated above it takes forever to buff off (especially on darker cars). it can be used all all kinds of surfaces, paint, plastic, chrome trim whatever.

i definitely recommend this shit if you want your truck to shineeeeeeeeee.

I got a hell of a deal on this stuff.

$36.00 shipped and it came with:
3 applicator pads
2 Microfiber towels
2 bottles of quick detailer
1 bottle of liquid claybar
1 bottle of polish

i am going to try it out this weekend, ill get back to ya with my reviews. btw, i ordered straight from Turtle wax's website... here...
http://www.icepolish.com/?tid=1949&g...FQEtZQod2UyqFg

they said 4-6 weeks shipping, but it was at my house in 10 days... so no complaints here! lol
