i got my engine bad covered in mud/oil

ive been mudding a couple times lately and i got the engine bay completely covered in mud. plus the leaky valve covers dont help. so im planning on cleaning it up but i was just wondering what you guys reccommend to use. and also, what all do i have to wrap up and cover.

ya know what i do i have this stuff called Mr Grease or something like that it's a de Greaser in a purple spray bottle stuff worked awsome soaked the engine down sprayed let sit for like 5 mins then pressure washed it with fast back and forth action not staying n one spot to long and the engine came out look like a new motor and mine was cruddy very dusty and such

If you plan on getting it dirty agin, just powerwash it off and dont waste time detailing it...

I dont recommend power washing but with just a hose is fine with engine degreaser. Use common sense and cover up certain things with plastic bags.
