I got it from pepboys, for $20 I used it today, and I l ike it, no bucket just the gun and a sponge, and there were very little spots on it, very hard to see. I did it in my friends driveway in the sun so thats most likely why there are still some spots, my X is black too, so it's even harder to make it look good. going to put 2 coats of Mcguires gold class wax on tomorrow.

The spots mean you missed a spot the sun makes it dry better.

Waterspots are formed from calcium and other chemicals left behind in a waterdrop after the water has evaporated. The entire purpose behind the mr.clean carwash system is to eliminate those compounds through its filter system, and use a spot free soap (been around for years) to further elminate the chances of waterspot residue.

I personally think its near impossible for a car to come out perfect this way, but it may very well just make a wash job that much easier. At the shop we use distilled water that is constantly filtered with a industrial sized version of the mr.clean setup. I personally don't have a use at work, but it may very well be a solution for people at home who for some reason want to wash thier vehicle in the bright sun in the middle of summer, and race against the waterspots.

I haven't tried the mr.clean setup at home, but im looking to give it and turtle wax a try.

i bought this a few weeks ago and the weather was nice enough to use it this last weekend..

WORKS GREAT

did it on my truck, and then my mom's car. no spots and didn't have to do much drying..
in fact if you can just leave the truck/car for an hour of 2 after washing it will completely dry on it's own..

very neat setup.

going to try it on my dad's black car next..

The starter soap didn't last long so for the next time it was used on a friends truck we used a bucket with soap and it still worked pretty good. I can't say it worked as good as it did on mine but the "Mr. Clean" soap but that might be because of his paint or wax.

So yeah its good.

well the soap has alot to do with it working the way it should.. there is a form of Jet Dry which helps with the drying process.

leaves a weird film on the paint.....i didnt like it on my black truck...i'll stick to washing it by and and putting a little elbow grease into it....mr clean auto dry just aint for me

Oh I wasen't sure if the soap mattered. Well next time I wash I'm going to not use the Mr. Clean soap again and see if it comes out good and if it does then I'm going to save my money and not buy more soap.

It worked alright for me...the only thing is the filter it comes with is only good for 3 washes...after the second wash spots started to show up so you have to go out and buy a new filter ($9.99) and it's good for 10 more. I don't know if it's a perfect solution, but if you use it to rinse, soap, and rinse...then scrub with your sponge or whatever, it works awesome...but you're still going to end up drying it a little bit.

I think it worked pretty good on my (black) truck. It only left a few spots under the mirrors and ext. cab windows were the non-filtered water had stuck.

Another great tip for easy, spot-free drying... take off the spray nozzle and let the water just flow out starting from the top down... it collects the water and helps it sheet off, then you can go back with a towel and it works great.

ive been using it since around april and i like it. less clutter than buckets and works really well. i cleaned my brother in laws corvette with it and there wasnt a single water spot. it does get expensive paying for a new filter every 5 uses and the special soap for it but i think its worth it.

went to home depot and bought a filter setup that i put on my water hose its a house filter setup for drinking water but it cost me 35 buxs and i have used it for about 40 washes so far with no spots of any kind. it has a sediment filter and carbon filter the filters run 6-12 buxs each.

i brought it a week or so ago and used it..i too had one or two spots also, but i think itwas b/c i divided the truck into too many areas and got too much oversray and jsut didnt shoot enough of the filtered water onto it

I have been debating it. My father in law said it works wonders on his Z28. If it works in my area, then it is in fact.....the bomb!! Our water is so hard, your car will rust before you are done drying it!! Sucks, I always have to go through a nice car wash, then bring it home to detail it. Maybe I will give it a shot, I can always return it to Wally-world if it doesnt work as stated

anyone have a problem with the soap. I filled it up, didn't use it for like a week or two and then all the soap turned thick and clumped up and clogged it all up!? It pissed me off cause i tried hosing it all out and it still has some clogged
