How to clean these wheels?

Alright, so Im supposed to be getting these rims. Does anybody have any idea on how to remove all of these blemishes? The guy who has them now says he think they can be buffed out, but he said that he doesn't know what it is. Any help?

Looks like scratches, not blemishes.

Re: How to clean these wheels?

strip them down and then powdercoat or paint them. I don't think there is any "repairing" the blemishes on it without a full restoration

Re: How to clean these wheels?

If I did strip them down, could I get them recleared, or is the only option to paint them?

yeah, its the clear coat.

Re: How to clean these wheels?

It looks like the aluminum oxidized under the clear. If you just strip it, it will still have the blemishes. You could sand the blemishes out with a fine grit and polish the wheels and have them re cleared or just clean and powder coat them.
