How do you keep yours clean?
Do you just not drive it or what. Freakin Ohio winters, I've spent several hours the last couple nice weekdns trying to clean my truck out and its still a mess. Any tricks there? I'm thinking of maybe putting some more weatherstripping around the door seals to seal them up tighter.

I really can't do much. The last time I washed it, it was dirty the next day. Good ol' Minnesota.

Re: How do you keep yours clean?
My Blazer gets dirty constantly in the winter (I'm in northern Connecticut), so I just try to rinse it frequently to keep salt off the paint. Other than that, I try to wash it thoroughly after I go wheeling. The underside still often has a lot of mud on it, but I try to get under there and clean it up.

Re: How do you keep yours clean?
I go through an auto car wash with an underbody spray. Touchless ones are always nice. This is a good step to getting harmful salt and some of the other stuff that accumulates under your truck. They usually work pretty well to clean the entire truck, but I also love to wash my truck by hand. Get a soft brush for your tires and wheels, cause it saves a whole lot of time getting into the crevices. The "California Duster" is a good investment ($10-$20) for getting dust and pollen quickly off your truck, but make sure it doesn't get wet, cause it will mess it up. If your wheels aren't clean, then it makes the whole truck look dirty, so a 5 minute session with a long-handled brush, some soap (for lubrication) and a hose pipe helps a whole lot. Just keeping the dust off and keeping your wheels clean (and maybe some stuff to make your tires shine) will go a long way to making your truck look good.
Also, I always keep some diaper soft clothes for quick "away from home" shining and some less expensive clothes to wipe off the brake dust and dusting the interior plastic. Getting one of those gun-clothes with some silicone on them can keep your interior and exterior plastic shiny and it comes in a little pouch so it isn't messy. These are just some of my techniques, but they seem to work pretty well. |

Re: How do you keep yours clean?
Mine only gets driven in the summer now, Thank Lord, But alls I do is wash it often. If it isnt too dusty, i'll go over it with some spray detailer before i go to bed, and run around the truck. Works pretty good IMO.
