How do I remove Oil and Grease From White Paint?

After spending 2 years getting my ride in working order, the paint has suffered horribly. greasy hand prints, all worked into the scratches and finish and will not clean.

I have tried cleaner waxes, rubbing compounds, even tried Gojo hand cleaner. no luck.

anyone have any tricks I could attempt?

Thanks,

-Bill

I just tried it too, no dice. I think I may need to take it a professional detailer for a good buffing. Crap.

nah, go to bath and body works, and get some good glycerin soap.

that will lift the oil, but if it is stained, you will need some westleys bleach white, and a good wax.

have you tried dawn dish soap? that works well for a degreaser and then make sure you wax afterwards.

Re: How do I remove Oil and Grease From White Paint?

Do not put degreasers and crap all over your paint. Not good. Buff the truck. Wool or Foam pad with 3M Compound, Swirl Remover, Wax and your done.
If you want, first and you have the money go to www.autoint.com and look at their 3 step process cleaner. It's the M-32 kit on the main page. Works great and will take all the contaminants out of your paint. Follow that up by a quick buff, swirl remover and sealer and your paint will be completely clean and last much much longer with a very nice shine.
Just do not put WD-40, carb cleaner, degreasers, etc on your paint it will eat at your clear and even though you will do it just a few times here and there it still is not good.
Hopefully this helps some.

x2. Just spray it on, let it sit a couple of minutes and wipe with a soft cloth. WD40 will not damage your paint. It will remove wax, but so will anything else that removes grease. Also works great for tree sap.
