How do I remove BugDeflector?

I have a bug deflector/shield on the front of my hood that came with the truck. It is stuck on with that 3m sticky tape I'm guessing. How do I remove it without peeling the paint off from under the hood? Can I use a heatgun and a knife? Thanks.

no, it's held on with the adhesive tape. Just want to know how to get it off with the adhesive tape.

Hair dryer or heat gun will help break the bond.

Re: How do I remove BugDeflector?

The bug deflector that came on my truck was also held on by 3m sticky tape shit and the way I got mine off was to wreck into the back end of my friends truck and replace the entire front end...worked like a charm....

Re: How do I remove BugDeflector?

i have 2 deflectors and both are bolt on
but i would just use a heat gun like everyone else said and then when its off and there is sticky stuff left use something like rubbing alcohol or whatever and wipe it down, after your done wash it off with soap and wax it
