How do I get rid of Pine sap?

How do I get rid of Pine sap? Bug and tar remover dosn't get it. My truck was under some pine trees for a week and I have tons of the stuff on my paint. I had some on my vehicle for six months before.

i used vaseline to get mine off. it got all the spots off but a few. its seems like the spots that are still there were in the clear. its wierd. but vaseline worked well

Thanks, I'll try the Vaseline. Most of the sap has melted off in the sun, but it looks like I have cum all over my truck.

man you must have some horny trees down there in AL.

i dunno what else to use but i wanna try something to get the tree sap(looks like it but easier to get off, i can pick it off with my fingernail) i only get the specks when its parked under the 2 maple trees in our yard.

My buddy parked his truck under a pine tree also and got that shit all over the place. Luckily it is 105 here so it just melted and he washed his truck. I have to keep that Vaseline idea though, that sounds like a good one......

I had the same stuff on a Mustang I bought. I asked a detailer at the dealer what to use and he suggested laquer thinner. It worked great. I was nervous at first, but it turned out well.

wash your truck with the basic dish soap... then wash it with real soap. and wax it

the dish soap cuts through everything, even the wax thats why you gotta re wax it.

I tryed the vaseline idea and it kind-of worked. It didn't remove the sap, but it made it clear instead of the original white color. I have used bug and tar remover and it didn't work. I might try dish soap. I used WD-40 the last time and it worked, but the oil soaked in to the paint and I had to use a silicone based wax to get the oil spots out. It was a mess.

Use wax and grease remover with a soft rag to remove it. Soak the rag and let it sit on there for a minute to help disolve it. After its off, polish any scratches out and throw a new coat of wax on it.

yea just try the dish soap.. it works great, use warm/hot water too. that just makes it easier

Claysticks are good for getting stuff off the paint. Just come back over it with some wax
