Help Cleaning Brushed Aluminum Grille
I've read through some of the threads on here about polishing up rims and such, and I see the productst people have said to use for those. But my question is, is it different for cleaning my brushed aluminum grille? There is a lot of dirt and stains on there and I need to get it all cleaned up before Saturday and the Custom Rides for Saving Lives show.
What is a good thing to use to clean this that I can get at like autozone or wal-mart or something? Thanks for any help you can offer. |

Re: Help Cleaning Brushed Aluminum Grille
i actually helped a friend do that same thing not to long ago. what we did was sanded it down. cant rememeber the grit. but it was a sanding sponge and sanded in one direction. i think started with 400. then went to 800. and then 1200. and left it. i dont know how it looks now because he moved. but it looked great after we were done.

Re: Help Cleaning Brushed Aluminum Grille
Scotch bright pad (maroon) not steel wool. Go in the direction of the 'grain' already in it. Then finish off with a good steel polish.
