I have a set of Colorado Customs rims and they are looking somewhat dull and hazed up. Quite possibly this happened after they came back from the shop where I had my body work done. There was quite a bit of crap on them...grrrr.
Anyhow....I need some suggestions....someone said have them wet sanded...i dont' know about that. Where can I go and what can I say to get these blings blinging again. Thanks |

Are thy clear coated? If so then there isn't much hope unless you remove the clear coat. If they are not then buy some good aluminum polish. Everyboyd has their own ideas of what the best stuff.
Here is what I recommend. http://www.wti-fenders.com/metal-polish.htm |

I use Blue Magic Metal Polish Cream. I usually pic it up at truck stops. But here is a thread where they sell it http://www.carcrazy.net/find/p/211/mcms.html Any product you go with plan on spending a good few hours to do your rims, but it is well worth the time.

#1 Colorado Customs are Hand made Polished Aluminum wheels, they do not have a clear coat.
to get rid of the haze, You will need EagleOne Wheel Acid... Delute it as directed on the bottle. Use a spray bottle to apply the wheel acid/water mixture to the wheel. DO NOT LET IT DRY (apply when wheel is outside temp). wipe the wheel acid off with a soft knit towel then apply mothers polish or I use Zypher. When You apply the wheel acid it will make the haze 50% whiter because its cleaning the pores in the metal. so don't freak out haha if you have any questions about this process, pm me or email me |
