Hawaiian Island Shine Cleaning Products

http://www.hawaiianislandshine.com/

Anyone else ever heard of or used any of these products? A buddy of mine just detailed my blazer using a handfull of the products and it turned out awesome...the pics don't do it any justice at all, the shine is so deep and wet looking and the chrome cleaner is some of the best I have ever used...more pics in my gallery on pg 3/4.

Re: Hawaiian Island Shine Cleaning Products

LOL are you going to put that in every post that mentions a product that was mentioned in that thread?

LOL!! Why would I do that, LOL!!
The post only mentions a handfull of company's and my post was for "information only".
I thought since this is the "detailing section", people would be interested to know they can purchase a gallon for what they are paying for a pint of product from a lot of company's

I have no problem with repackaging as most company's out there do in some form or another.
What I do have a problem with are the misleading claims that surround many of these "re-bottled" company's and the advertising/marketing that goes with it.

There is a LOT of research, developing and testing of products to bring it to the market the "correct way"..., there are obviously company's that seem to have a new product every week and we all know that is not possible for a small company to do unless it is just a relabeled product.
(I know..., we have been working on several products for the last few years and they are not yet perfected. We have several products that are currently being developed and it does not happen overnight..., but when they are released, they will be high quality products and not what you can get off the detailing truck that runs a couple times a week.

Hope this helps

Don't get me wrong I think i know what your getting at, but honestly is there any way to really know if a product is re-labelled. I think the thread is good awareness but I'm not so sure it actually has any substantiated proof that (in this case or others for that matter) Hawaiian Island Shine simply re-labels a product for their own use and does no further modifications what-so-ever.

I haven't made it through that entire thread ... long read... but really it just looked like people were trying to make connections and trying to uncover a big mystery of some sort. Scooby-Doo where are you? hahaha...

For me what really matters is that this guy was impressed with Hawaiian Shine. I'm assuming he's comparing it to other products he might have used in the past. I know it's bad to assume but if more people start to chime in and really like the product then you can bet there has to be some reason behind it besides drone syndrome.

I agree with you 100% when you say people should know if they can buy a gallon of product for $20 instead of 16oz for $20 but who's to prove that? Wish I could or knew someone who can... maybe I should keep reading that thread? LOL

I guess the bottom line would be, if a "boutique" product performs exactly like a Pro product, why not use the pro product, save a bunch of cash, get 10x more for your money and have the same product except for the "label".

I do know that a lot of company's relabel (confirmed by the company that sells it.)
Sure, it is "supposed" to be unknown, however, when you know the owner, workers, sales people, etc, etc..., word does get around, but should not be discussed openly as it often does.

Notice, I did NOT bring up ANY names as I do not want the post to be something it is not (a finger pointing contest).
I made the post here because I felt it was interesting reading and informative, not to point fingers...

Honestly, it does not matter to me who sells what or where they get it from.
I have tested 100's or 1,000's of products over the years and have enough experience to know what is the same and what is different.
I do realize that very very few people have had a chance to test as many products as I have (it does get tiring, but it is part of what I do).

The link to Autopia was only for interesting reading, as it is quite long and a lot of opinions on the subject..., they even have a poll, LOL!!

If someone likes a product, great..., but I do recommend to keep an open mind, as there may be something better down the road

Hope this helps
