Hard water on rear window.
I tried getting it off with the normal windex with no luck. You can only see it when the sun is right on it but I want to get it off. What can i use?

Re: Hard water on rear window.
You can try to clay it, but I gotta say the other day I did a detail on a truck and the chrome bumper had these hard water stains that wouldn't wash or rub off. So I tried some NON-abrasive polish and it pulled the marks off like nothing. I've also had good luck using it to remove various marks on glass and plastic.
Here's a link to the polish I used and highly recommend as it can be used on most anything at all. Very universal and works great! : Poorboys Professional Polish |

Re: Hard water on rear window.
To remove it, try this...,
Go to Wal-Mart or your local hardware store and purchase a bag of"0000" steel wool. Next, go to the grocery store, pick up a bottle of white distilled vinegar. Now mix the two and clean the window as needed (do not use this on inside tintes windows, only on the outside and not on graphics) Clean until the marks are washed away. Clean with a towel and Stoners window cleaner or Gunk window cleaner. Enjoy clear glass..., (let us know how it works out ![]() |

Re: Hard water on rear window.
I've used the steel wool and white distilled vinegar and it works well.
If you have any polish lying around give it a try and hope for the best. If not then go get some quality polish like Dallas mentioned or pick up some wool and vinegar. |

Re: Hard water on rear window.
![]() use it slightly wet with a wax applicator pad. Making a circular motion with it should remove everything. When you're done, hit it up with some rainx wax. |

Re: Hard water on rear window.
The "0000" steel wool is perfectly safe as long as-
1- It is glass and not plastic, etc. 2- You use it on the outside only. 3- You do not use it on tint. 4 It is in fact "0000" Used as directed and you are good to go ![]() |
