I learned this at my first show: HIDE NOTHING. Look at the details, clean up your bed, your engine, your gas filler area, and anything else that may normally get overlooked. It'll all come up sometime.

as a cool showcase for your engine (if you have any under hood dress up) is to paint a long coil spring with chameleon paint and use it to prop your hood open... thats what my buddy did with his protege... i thought it look different/ok

Use your license plate and turn it sideways to hold your hood up... that is if you have a vanity plate with a custom name. Just an idea.

my $0.02
clean your exhaust and look for watermarks on the chrome/wheels/car. An exhaust with carbon buildup ruins the hours/days you put into making a car look perfect for a show and is overlooked frequently. |
