Try Adams metal polish #1 and #2, worked wonders on the Intro's... |

Wax and grease remover from a paint supply store with a soft rag will cut through it in no time. Then polish them back out.
I cleaned up a set of wheels off a 92 Vette using this method and it worked great. The Vette's wheels had the ribbed aluminum on the back so it was even tougher but it still got them clean. You should have no problems with the smooth surface of the Boyds. |

![]() As mentioned, start off with a good wheel cleaner/grease remover then follow up with a polish. They key is to follow up with a good wheel sealant (such as Poorboy's Wheel Sealant) so that cleanup is a lot easier next time. |

Exactly! once you get them clean use a sealant to make it easier next time. Also invest in a brake pad that doesn't dust so much, my Hawk pads keep the dust to almost nothing in the time between washes.

Re: getting brake dust off billet rims
If you're worried about the back, and inner rim, I use Spray nine or Fantastic with SOS pads, it works awesome, if you use warm water to soak the pad, they don't scratch hardly at all.
If you're worried about mi nute scratches on the inner rim, then don't buy aluminumimmnuin rims. I use SOS pads on my inner rim, wich is not chromed and it works fandantastic! |
