friggin little spots...
ok, so in the house that i used to live in until a couple weeks ago, i occasionally had to park under a tree. this tree dropped little seed things on my truck, and when you pull them off, they left a little yellow spot that i can't get off. when i wash my truck i try to get them off, spend some extra time on them, but no luck. what can i use to do that? i have just been using my mr. clean auto dry. great product, just maybe the soap isnt potent enough?? i dunno. any help would be great. thanks

www.zainostore.com, or you could use a different clay bar like Meguiar's or Griot's, probably sold at any car place.

Re: friggin little spots...
ok, but i have never used a claybar...no idea what it is or how to use it. i mean, i would guess its some kind of bar made out of a clay-like substance, but my knowledge ends there...

Re: friggin little spots...
adamaarsvold,
You do not polish before you wax. Once the wax has been applied and take care of then you use the polish. You can then use a glaze to finish it off. I used to do that on my X - OMG did it come out awesome! Just ask any of the NJ guys that have met me and the X I had. 75,000 miles and outside of nicks from rocks and the like - she looked BRAND NEW! ~M~ Last edited by ZonaNoma : 07-19-2004 at 05:25 PM. |

Re: friggin little spots...
You dont make sense. You say you do not polish before you wax in the first sentence, then in the second you say once the wax has been applied, then you use the polish. It goes like this--- Wash, clay bar, polish/glaze, wax/paint sealant |

Re: friggin little spots...
U could use rubbin alcohol, but it chews paint, pretty much, use a lil of it with a towel and yer good to go. When ya done then ya can wash yer dime, do process, and loooooooooookin good without worryin about lil spots, "patience is virtue"

Re: friggin little spots...
Wash, clay, polish, sealant or glaze, wax
Some product like Zaino confuse people cause they call it a polish when it's more of a sealant product. The clay will clean the paint, get the embedded crap out of it. Polish comes in different abrasive levels and will get rid of the paint flaws, swirls, light scratches, marring. Sealant or Glaze can be used as a final step and some can be layered to achieve a better depth and shine and most people will top it all off with wax to really give it the deep wet look. My new process uses 1Z - paint or metal or both polish if needed, Klasse All-in-one, Klasse Sealant Glaze, and Pinnacle souveran wax, on black it really looks good and worth the effort. |

Re: friggin little spots...
um, yeah, i said clay didnt work, so then like 5000 people tell me to use clay again. but the guy at the body shop said to just use warm soapy water, so i'll try that.
