For all of us with LOW pro tires and everyone else..... [armor all review]

this is one thing i hate doing..... i hate having to put armor all on the those little 40 series tires and stuff cuz the foam gets all over the rim or those big spray bottles too....... and you have to clean the rim forever to get it off cuz the foam just smears all over it or the spray goes everywhere...... but i finally found the stuff that works awesome for those little tires......

http://www.armorall.com/prodcat/page...hine_aero.html

this stuff works wonders. i give it 2 way up! i can get some pics tomorrow if you want...... my tires are very shiney black and it doesnt kick up all over the place.... i highly suggest trying this stuff out

the aerosol can makes it very easy to get just on the tire and not your rim.

You could cut out a "rim sheild: from a cardboard box to keep off the overspray.

Get a gel that you put on a foam applicator pad. Of course you are going to get shit on your wheels when you are using a spray.

Re: For all of us with LOW pro tires and everyone else..... [armor all review]

guys try using new clean motor oil. Do it once a week when you clean your wheels and after 3 or 4 weeks you wont have to do it but maybe once a month. The oil repels all water and crap and stays looking wet and shiney all the time. This is a tip I learned from an auto detailer.

Wouldn't the oil just fling all over the place when driving?

nope, first of all you arent going to put enough to do that on the tire. second the rubber will absorb some of the oil, thats why it stays shiny and glossy even if it rains.

Is any weight better or worse? I would assume go with a thinner oil so it could soak in better but I've never heard of this before. Worth a shot though.

huh ill have to try that on my stockers when it gets arounnd winter. for now i use my meguires tire spray and a round piece of uhh the stuff you put in bathrooms that is water proof ,plastic, with a bolt through the center for a handle. since its plastic i can re use it over and over and wont have to worry about soggy cardboard.

Re: For all of us with LOW pro tires and everyone else..... [armor all review]

petro based products are not recommended for real rubber as they usually attack natural rubber products (kinda like using certain petro based lubes with certain latex products).

Guy up at Autozone was telling me he uses a rag with a small amount of brake fluid to cut
the crap and buildup on his tires. Never tried it myself.

Brake fluid will dry out the tire over time, it looks good though.

Re: For all of us with LOW pro tires and everyone else..... [armor all review]

omg why dont you guys just grow some balls and try the oil trick? I have been doing it forever, I get more wear off my tires from camber than anything else. Why do they have rubber gaskets where oil comes in contact with them then? Its safe rubber + oil, why would there be a problem.

Brake fluid is rediculously corrosive, I wouldnt use it on anything but in my brake master cylinder.
