No, but i've used corn starch. It works pretty nicely, although the wheels needs to be _real_ cleaned/polished to notice a real difference....

i change tires for a living..doing mostly commercial trucks and OTR. I did a set of 8 on a peterbilt the other day and the rims looked just absolutly perfect. i asked the guy how he does it, he says mothers powerball+billet polish, then he uses "flour" to get the little scratches out

how do you apply it?? just with your fingers or a micro cloth or what..??!!
ive got the wheels off the truck right now, and tires off the wheels. ive been polishing 1 of them wheels for about 5 days now, and im ready to start getting the little tiny "invisible" scratches out.

Re: Flour on aluminum rims...

i'v seen my friends do this to their rim. you take something like mothers polish and apply it to the rim. then you take flour and just throw i over the entire rim. then just buff out .

Re: Flour on aluminum rims...

you use baby powder on you cloth when your drying your rims and it keeps from putting them tiny scratches on your wheels
