faded ventshades

ive got ventshades on my windows and when my truck had some body work done on the one side, i think they got overspray or something on the one ventshade. it has a dull finish on it now and ive tried scrubbing it, using alcohol, and i might have even tried a claybar.

even using black magic or bring the black back doesnt help much! how do i get this plastic to shine again and get that overspray off?

should i try paint thinner or mineral spirits? any tips are welcome. thanks in advance!

Re: faded ventshades

the claybar should take off the oversray.

use a Polish to make them shine again. i would NOT use any tyVe of solvants on them as they might melt the plastic.

Re: faded ventshades

take your time, and keep it really wet. it WILL scratch the plastic, but the olish will take care of those.

Re: faded ventshades

If you had to you could just sand them with some real fine grit sandpaper or maybe even a Scotch Brite pad and then polish the shit out of them afterwards to get the scratches out.
