Re: eagle alloys...help

if you wanna go crazy on them, wetsand them with 1000 grit and then to a 2000grit and they polish the wheels with a powerball and mothers billet polish

Re: eagle alloys...help

so to wetsand do you only have to just spray some water on the rim and sand lightly or do you need a specific liquid to do it and not screw everything up. I am having this same problem

Re: eagle alloys...help

some polish will help remove that surface rust. i know nevrdull does but it takes alot of elbow grease. i use just a tad bit of brake cleaner to remove the thick stuff then immediately wash them again then polish.

i wouldnt recommend wet sanding if you dont know what you are doing. its alot of work.

Re: eagle alloys...help

wetsanding..basicly, you want to soak some wetsand paper in watter for a while then soak the wheels with water (have a hose close by) and always make sure your paper is wet and the surface your polishing.

I polished a set of IROC's for a friend like this and got them looking as good as a high dollar billet wheel when i was finished

i do mine the same way you can't let the acid dry up,you must rinse with in 60 sec/ then you can polish w/ any thing that's good like buschs.hoosiers, mothers, and flitz alum-polish.
